A schoolgirl has died from an asthma attack she suffered whilst at school in Dewsbury.
Anjneha Nain, a pupil at Westborough High School, was airlifted from the school on Wednesday (29.03.2017) to hospital, where she passed away surrounded by her family.
In a statement the school said: “It is with tremendous sadness that I must inform you that one of our Year 8 students, Anjneha Nain, has passed away… Our whole school community is deeply shocked and our thoughts are with Anjneha’s family and friends. Anjneha was a very happy, conscientious student who loved school and she will be greatly missed by all of us.”
The school remains open but has specially trained staff present to assist with any pupils in coping with the tragedy.
