The residents of Scholemoor and Lidget Green were ‘bowled over’ with the royal opening of a new sports complex.
Her Majesty the Queen’s representatives for West Yorkshire, Lord Lieutenant Ed Anderson and Deputy Lord Lieutenant Zulfiqar Karim, officially opened The Greenmoor Sports Ground today (8 November).
The new centre, on Spencer Fields, features a Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA), a practice cricket net and all-weather surfaces for use by the local community.
