Police are appealing for any witnesses to a robbery on Potternewton Lane, Leeds in the early hours of Sunday to come forward.
The incident happened at 3.45am when two males were robbed. One of the victims suffered serious facial injuries as a result of the incident. A mobile phone was taken during the incident.
Officers want to speak to two men in connection with the incident. One is described as white, of skinny build, 5'11" tall and in his late teens or early 20s. He spoke in a Leeds accent.
A second man is described as white, of a fairly large build and aged in his late teens or early 20s He had light brown short hair in a 'grade 2' style.
Both were wearing casual sportswear.
Detective Inspector Mark Atkinson of Leeds CID, said:
"This was a particularly nasty attack which has left one person in a serious condition in hospital and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the crime to come forward."
