A police officer was rammed with a moped whilst on patrol in Openshaw.
At around 10.15pm yesterday evening, Tuesday 3 October, a patrol car turned onto Stan Jolly Walk when the officers inside the vehicle noticed a moped, which had been reported as stolen.
Two other people on mopeds sped off in an unknown direction, but the person on the stolen moped failed to start the ignition.
To escape from the officer who was approaching, the moped rider rammed into the officer before colliding with a parked car and fleeing on foot.
The officer suffered minor injuries to his leg but did not require medical treatment.
