Police are appealing for information after a large disturbance in Oldham.
Shortly after 1.50am on Sunday 24 July 2016, police were called to Windsor Road in Oldham to reports of a large disturbance, involving people fighting.
Officers attended and the group had dispersed, but found that a car had been set on fire, two further vehicles damaged and a house had multiple windows and doors broken during the incident. No injuries were reported.
Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and no arrests have been made. Extra police patrols are in the area to offer reassurance to residents.
Detective Inspector Lewis Hughes, of GMP’s Oldham borough, said: “I understand that incidents of this nature will cause concern in the community and I want to offer reassurance that we have increased patrols in the area in response.
“This incident caused a large disturbance on a residential street in the early hours of the morning and could have woken residents who may have seen what happened.
“We will not tolerate people causing tensions in our communities and I would urge anyone who saw anything that can help our investigation to contact the police.”
