Police in Huddersfield are appealing for witnesses after a 58-year-old woman was victim of a robbery in the town centre.
The incident happened on 31 March at around 5:00am at the junction of Queen Street and Colne Road in Huddersfield.
The female victim was walking to catch a bus to go to work and a suspect walks past her, then immediately turns round to grab her handbag.
The suspect hits the victim across the face and then runs off with the handbag over the bridge which leads to Damside.
He is described as a white male, around 25-years-old, 5ft 9" with short dark hair. He was wearing a black t-shirt with white printing on it, dark trousers and dark coloured shoes.
DC Shaun Topham, of Huddersfield CID, said: "This was a distressing incident for the victim and we hope that members of the public will help with our enquiries to trace this man.
"Anyone who witnessed this incident, or saw this man in the area on 31 March, is asked to contact myself via 101 quoting reference 13160137386."
