A man has died after being hit by a coach in Manchester.
The collision took place shortly before 12.05am this morning (7 February) on Rochdale Road in Blackley. It is understood the pedestrian was crossing the road when he was hit.
A 63-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving offences.
Those who witnessed the collision or have dashcam footage are encouraged to come forward.
Police Constable Martin Davies of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “In just a matter of moments, a man has sadly lost his life while crossing the road.
“We will be supporting his family through this very sad time and doing everything we can to find out exactly what happened.
“I appreciate this happened just after midnight but if anyone did witness anything prior to or after the collision that may help our investigation, please get in touch with us.”
