A new blood donation centre in Bradford has welcomed more than 500 donations after opening its doors last month.
The NHS Blood and Transplant service for Bradford was based on Rawson Road for nearly 50 years before moving to the historic Kenburgh House, the former home of the Bradford & Keighley Registrar Office.
The Rawson Road site, which opened in 1967, was the first plasma donor centre in the country.
An official opening ceremony for the new site is being organised for Friday, 16 June, with invited guests including people whose lives have been saved through blood donations and heroic donors who have given blood for many years.
