A mother and her daughter were forced to jump from a window to escape what is believed to have been an arson attack in Manchester.
In the early hours of yesterday morning, 8 August, a wheelie bin was set on fire, which quickly spread to a property on Melford Avenue in Moston.
The mother and her teenage daughter jumped out of a first-floor bedroom window to avoid the flames. One has suffered a broken leg and the other a broken ankle.
Their home has been left severely damaged.
The fire service has launched a joint operation with Greater Manchester Police. They are treating the incident as an act of arson.
