Student make-up artists from The Northern School of Creative Industries at Bradford College wowed judges at a prestigious regional competition to bring home a raft of awards, including the highly-coveted College Cup.
The students collected eight individual prizes at the Warpaint North Make-Up Championships 2018 as well as taking away the trophy for best college.
Ellie Gribble had an especially successful trip to the key industry event, winning the Rising Star award as well as taking first place in the Film and TV category for her reproduction of the iron burn face from Home Alone.
Lisa Dawkins, make-up tutor on Media Make-up with Special Effects degree at The Northern School of Creative Industries, was thrilled with the success. She said: “I am incredibly proud of the students for achieving their individual awards and the College Cup.
“The event was a wonderful opportunity for our students to showcase themselves in front of industry professionals.
“They had to work to a specific brief and plan a full look, with hair, make-up and outfit and present a mood board and supporting design work to four industry professional judges.”
