Police continue to appeal for information following the discovery of a body of a man now known to be Daniel France in the River Calder yesterday morning (30 March).
At 11:37am, police were called to Sands Lane, in Dewsbury to a report of a body seen in the water.
Officers attended and have recovered an adult man's body from the water under the railway viaduct.The body has been confirmed as that of missing man Daniel France from Dewsbury.
The family of Daniel France, has been informed.
Enquiries are at an early stage and still ongoing.
Detective Inspector Stef Wiseman, of Kirklees District CID, said: "We would like to appeal to anyone who has any information about a purple pop-up tent found located near to where the body was found, at the back of a commercial property, on Sands Lane, Dewsbury, to contact Kirklees CID via 101 quoting reference 0472 of 30 March."
