Police are appealing for information after a man was viciously attacked with a machete in Salford.
Shortly after 8.30pm on Tuesday 28 November, police were called to reports of an assault on Rodney Street.
The 33-year-old victim was arriving at his home when he was dragged from his car by one or two offenders who began attacking him with a machete.
After repeatedly striking the man with the weapon, the offenders then fled from the scene.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment of his extensive injuries, where he remains in a serious condition.
