A young girl, aged 12-years-old, was out riding her horse alone after school on Thursday 22nd December 22, at around 3pm in Tottington Lines area of Bury, when a man attempted to grab her.
She was approached by a man who stood blocking the path and said he wanted to speak to her. The girl refused to speak to him the man then grabbed the horse’s reins suddenly, causing the animal to bolt.
The mother, who wishes to remain anonymous, said: “her little girl got the impression the man was trying to grab her and pull her off.”
The stable owner has stated he will not allow people to go riding on their own until the suspect is caught.
The man is described as in his late 20s, 6ft 2ins tall, with dark skin and a beard. He has scratch marks all over his face and hands, he had blood shot eyes & some teeth missing.
The incident took place just days after a man attempted to bundle a nine-year-old girl into a vehicle near a local primary school.
