A man has received a suspended jail term following a sexual assault on a bus in Manchester.
Muhammed Bashir, 80, who suffers from Alzheimer's, said he remembered little about the incident and only recalls touching a student on the shoulder.
Manchester Magistrates' Court earlier heard Bashir left the woman in tears after they boarded the double decker bus packed with commuters in May 2017.
The court was told he touched her inappropriately as she was paying the bus driver.
Bashir, from Moss Side, has now been ordered to sign the sex offender register after being handed a six-week prison sentence, suspended for a year.
He was also ordered to pay the woman £500 compensation having been found guilty of sexual assault.
