A 29 year old man has been jailed for seven years after he stabbed and robbed a pensioner after the victim had taken pity on him and invited him into his home.
Bradford Crown Court heard that the 68 year old victim had invited homeless Hamid Mahmood into his home in Harrogate Street, Undercliffe, on May 20 this year after taking pity on him and wanting to offer him a chance to get his life back on track. However Mahmood turned violent when his request for money for drugs was refused and he stabbed the pensioner and robbed him.
Mahmood, was sentenced to seven years for grievous bodily harm with intent and for five years for robbery to run concurrently.
