Matthew Higham from Stockport has been jailed for life after confessing to killing his 16 day old daughter Florence Liberty Mae Higham
An inquest in Stockport this week heard that a child had previously been removed from a house where Higham lived in 2012 due to concerns about drugs in the home.
The violent dad gave no explanation as to why he had beat his tiny baby daughter to death at their home in Shaw Heath on 29th July 2015, while her mum Sharon Collins was visiting a sick relative.
Higham’s prosecution provided evidence which confirmed between 2014 - 2014 Higham had been under the care of the Liverpool Early Intervention Service (EIS), due to mental health problems.
Higham was jailed for life after confessing to the murder.
