A man sentenced to life for the murder of a 20-year-old has died in prison.
Aaron Smith was sentenced to 22 years after he attacked Josh Hirst with a knife, cutting his throat. The incident took place in August 2012.
A Prison Service spokesman said: “HMP Bristol prisoner Aaron Smith died in custody on Monday the 19th of December 2016.
Investigations are being continued.
