A 50-year-old man has been arrested after a woman was found dead at a house in Rochdale.
Police were called shortly before 2.55pm on the 27th of February, to reports that a woman was unresponsive at a house on Alder Road. Emergency services attended and the woman was taken to hospital where she was sadly pronounced dead.
Officers have launched an investigation and the man has been arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in police custody for questioning.
Detective Inspector Chris Mannion of GMP’s Rochdale Borough, said: “This tragic set of circumstances has resulted in a family losing their loved one. My thoughts are with them at this extremely hard time. The investigation is in its early stages and we are combing through and examining each piece of evidence that is available to us at this time.
