A man was found dead in a river following a large fight in Manchester city centre.
Shortly before 3am on Sunday 30 July, police were called to Mambo's Bar, on Dantzic Street, to reports of a disturbance.
Emergency services attended and a woman was taken to hospital with facial injuries.
Another man also suffered stab wounds during the incident and was followed on foot by officers, who lost sight of him, as he fled the scene.
Witnesses spoke with the man and later reported hearing him falling into the River Irwell. A search discovered the body of a 27-year-old man.
An investigation is underway and enquiries into the circumstances surrounding his death are ongoing.
