A man has been sentenced after he punched and kicked his wife during an argument over a takeaway.
Usman Akram, 28, of Keighley Road, Bradford, pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm at Bradford Crown Court.
He and his then wife had an argument over finances after she ordered some takeaway food.
Akram attacked her, leaving her with bruising and swelling to the face and a fractured back.
The pair are now divorced.
Akram was given a six-month sentence, suspended for two years and will also have to carry out rehabilitation activity and unpaid work.
