A man who received life-changing injuries from an attack on Manchester’s Deansgate Locks has died three and a half years on.
Police believe Noordin Jilib, from Hulme, was assaulted after he left the former Sugar Buddha bar on Whitworth Street West in the city centre in the early hours of 20 December 2014.
He received serious head and facial injuries resulting in brain damage.
Noordin, who was then aged 22, spent the following years bed-bound and died from pneumonia earlier this month.
Greater Manchester Police revealed his death to highlight the launch of an appeal to find those responsible for the assault.
