A man has been arrested after a woman was murdered in Rochdale.
Shortly after 11.35pm last night, 22 October, police were called to an address on Birch Crescent in Newhey, Rochdale to reports that the body of a woman had been found.
Officers attended and discovered the body of a 39-year-old woman.
A 40-year-old man has since been arrested on suspicion of murder.
The man had been found with serious injuries sustained prior to police attendance and was taken to hospital for treatment, where he remains under arrest.
Enquiries remain on-going.
