Man arrested after a van driver seen performing indecent acts

A man has been arrested in connection with a string of incidents involving a van driver performing indecent acts in broad daylight.

In the first incident, a man was spotted in a blue van acting indecently as children walked to school on Heys Road in Prestwich at about 7.45am on Thursday the 2^nd of March.

There were more reports of a man in a similar van about 45 minutes later, on nearby Clifton Road.

A man was then spotted again on Sunday, carrying out the same act on Heys Road, and again on Roch Crescent in Whitefield on Monday evening.

A 40-year-old has now been arrested on suspicion of four counts of indecent exposure in connection with the incidents, and is due to appear at Bury police station on the 20^th of March.

A spokesman for GMP said: “A 40-year-old man has been arrested and bailed in connection with reports of male pleasuring himself in a blue van. Enquiries are on-going.”
