A man was airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary on Monday night (3 April 2017), following an incident on Thornhill Road in Edgerton.
Witnesses at the scene have described how the young man, possibly in his 20s, appeared to have what looked like a stab wound, and that he had blood-covered tracksuit bottoms. According to one witness, the man stood in the middle of the road and then lay down “as if he wanted to be run over.”
It is believed that there was also a car at the scene with a broken windshield. Officers cordoned off the scene until later that evening but West Yorkshire Police are as of yet to make any comment.
