Bradford Council's Road Safety team is asking parents to make sure children are safe and motorists drive with care and look out for children during the school holidays.
With the holidays nearly upon us there will, naturally, be an increase in the number of children out playing, both during the day time and in the evenings.
The team is urging all road users to take care, not only on the main roads but, especially, in built up residential areas.
Coun Alex Ross-Shaw Bradford Council's Executive Member for Regeneration, Planning and Transport, said: "The summer holiday is a great chance for children and families to get out and have fun but we just want them to take care and stay safe. Drivers need to be aware that more children will be out playing so they need to slow down and watch their speed."
