A large lizard is believed to be on the loose in Halifax.
Sightings of a giant reptile on the streets of the town have been reported to police.
The creature is thought to be a monitor lizard, which can grow in length from anywhere between 20cm to over 3m.
Many monitor lizards are good swimmers, so the Halifax fugitive may have enjoyed this morning’s downpours.
Residents suspect it to be an illegal pet that has escaped.
