A former library building, is set to reopen to the public almost two years after it was closed down.
Levenshulme Old Library is a historic Victorian building that had originally opened in 1904 as a free public library
After almost two years it will open its doors this week for the first time since its closure back in February 2016, following a long-running community campaign.
The 150-year-old building will be run by members of the community.
Campaigner Adam Williams said: “It is now re-opening as a multi-purpose art and culture space, run by, and for the local community.”
A reopening celebration, will take place at the library on Friday 22nd December.
