Highways officers at Bradford Council are considering legal action against the owners of the Oastler Road car park in Saltaire forcing them to stop operating.
Following recent complaints from members of the public about the operator’s ticketing strategy, it was established that the car park did not have legal authority to operate and that the land is still technically public highway.
After the discovery, the council wrote to the company asking them to stop operating and to refund any fines levied against motorists, but no response has yet been received.
