A Leeds man will spend nine years behind bars after being found guilty of raping a woman in Castleford.
Liam Higson, aged 29 from Kippax, Leeds was sentenced at Leeds Crown Court after being found guilty of raping a woman at an address in Castleford on 27 December 2016.
The court heard that he subjected his female victim to a prolonged assault in which he threatened her with a knife during the incident.
He was arrested later in the day and was charged on 28 December. He is also now subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention order for life.
