A Judge has granted a press application to lift an order which prevented the addresses being reported of 17 men who sexually abused the same schoolgirl from Halifax.
The order had been made under the Contempt of Court Act when the men first appeared at Magistrates Court but Judge Geoffrey Marson QC agreed the restriction no longer needed to be in force.
Sentences totalling over 175 years were handed down to the sexual offenders following a four year Police investigation.
Those jailed were 36 year old Heder Ali of Amberley Court, Bradford; 41 year old Haider Ali of Warley Street, Pellon, Halifax; 38 year old Khalid Zaman Brooksbank Avenue, Bradford; 35 year old Mohammed Ramzan of Lidgett Place, Bradford; 32 year old Haaris Ahmed of Vaughan Street, Halifax; 43 year old Tahir Mahmood of Redcar Street, Halifax; 31 year old Tauqeer Butt, of Moines Close, Halifax; 31 year old Talib Saddiq, of Cannon Street, King Cross, Halifax. 25 year old Azeem Subhani of Back Victor Terrace, Pellon, Halifax; 27 year old Amaar Ali Ditta of Rose Terrace, Halifax; 43 year old Mohammed Ali Ahmed of Boston Street, Halifax; 31 year old Sikander Malik of Autumn Street, Halifax; 31 year old Sikander Ishaq of Ripon Street, Halifax; 27 year old Aesan Pervez of Akeds Road, Halifax; 25 year old Mansoor Akhtar of Blackmoorfoot Road, Crosland Moor, Huddersfield; 31 year old Furquan Ghafar of Melbourne Street, Derby and 37 year old Aftab Hussain of St Augustines Terrace, Halifax.
Another defendant 37 year old Fasil Mahmood of Grosvenor Terrace, Pellon, Halifax, was convicted only of supplying the girl with cannabis
