A string of high-profile employers are set to be in attendance at a jobs fair held in a Leeds shopping centre next week.
In what promises to be an event not to be missed for anyone who is currently seeking full or part time opportunities, a wide range of retailers will be featuring in the event at The Point in the White Rose Shopping Centre on Tuesday 16 August from 10am-3pm. Those present will include; Marks and Spencer; Debenhams; Nando’s; Primark; McDonalds; Argos and The Fragrance Shop.
Also on offer will be the chance to find out more about apprenticeships and Leeds City College courses; there are 200 vacancies available to apply for via GGV developments at the forthcoming Victoria Gate Casino and an opportunity to find out about positions in Northern Rail. Morgan Sindall in partnership with Construction Housing Yorkshire will also have training and future employment opportunities as part of the White Rose Shopping Centre extension.
For any of the vacancies, people are asked to bring along multiple copies of their CV and leave them with employers on the day to apply.
Councillor Mohammed Rafique, Leeds City Council’s executive member for employment, skills and opportunity said:
“Throughout the year, we undertake a range of initiatives and events and with partners to make sure that people of all ages have the chance to find out about the wide range of job opportunities that are available in our city.
“We are delighted therefore to be hosting in The Point at White Rose Shopping Centre our latest jobs fair, which will bring together under one roof, a range of employers offering both part time and full time vacancies.
“We have had a fantastic response from the Leeds public to our previous jobs fairs, and we are looking forward to seeing another great turnout on 16 August.”
