A special day will be held in Keighley Market to raise money for life-saving equipment.
The Rugby Football League has announced that tomorrow, Friday 25 August will officially be known as Jersey Day. To mark this special national day, rugby league fans are being asked to wear a rugby league shirt and raise funds for the Danny Jones Defibrillator Fund.
Anyone wearing a rugby league shirt in Keighley Market hall will get a free cup of tea or coffee and will be entered in to a prize draw to win two season tickets for Keighley Cougars for the 2018 season.
Danny Jones, a Keighley Cougars player and Welsh international, tragically died following a cardiac arrest in 2015 during a match. His wife Lizzie is now campaigning to raise funds to purchase defibrillators which can be placed in rugby league clubs and public places.
