What are believed to be human remains have been found in a car park in Stalybridge.
The discovery was made after bones were dug up on the grounds of an Aldi supermarket in Leech Street on Tuesday afternoon, 21 November.
A spokesperson from Greater Manchester Police has said they believe “the location is a former burial ground on the site of an old chapel.”
Tests are now being carried out on the remains to confirm if they are human.
