A drug dealer who led police officers on two high speed chases through Bradford has been jailed for six-and-a-half years.
Tassaduq Hussain, 25, of Coates Street, West Bowling in Bradford, was on bail when he crashed into parked vehicles. Bailed again by Bradford and Keighley magistrates, Hussain was then caught selling heroin and crack cocaine in the city centre, with an estimated value of £1,600.
In Bradford Crown Court yesterday (30.03.2017), Hussain pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply, dangerous driving and driving uninsured and without a licence. He led the police on two high speed pursuits – one on February 15th and another on November 20th when he travelled 80mph through a 30mph zone.
Sergeant Cameron Buchan, of West Yorkshire Police's Safer Roads and Neighbourhood Support team, said: "We hope this strong sentence will send out a message to others that dangerous driving will not be tolerated in Bradford district… The fact he is now behind bars for the next few years should provide the public with some reassurance that these matters are viewed extremely seriously by the police and the courts.”
