A man was reportedly seen chasing a group of three or four others with a weapon in Huddersfield.
Officers were called at around 3.50pm to Riddings Road on Sunday, 23 April, after receiving a call from a member of the public who claimed they saw a man on the streets in possession of a weapon.
Armed officers were deployed to the scene, but were unable to locate either parties and there was no evidence of a weapon being used.
Detective Inspector, John Charlton, of Kirklees CID said: "We are appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident or witnessed anything suspicious in the area at around this time. We have conducted a number of enquiries and our investigation into the full circumstances of what occurred yesterday is on-going.”
