A man has been arrested in connection with a shooting incident outside a Sikh Temple in Leeds on Good Friday.
The 29-year-old man, from Leeds, was arrested in Harrogate on suspicion of firearms offences and transported to West Yorkshire where he remains in custody.
His arrest is in connection with an incident in Chapeltown Road, Chapeltown, at about 12.30pm on Friday, March 25, where shots were fired in the street near to a Sikh temple.
Detective Chief Inspector Ian Scott, of West Yorkshire Police Homicide and Major Enquiry Team, said: "The criminal use of firearms in our communities is something we will always treat extremely seriously, and we are continuing to conduct a detailed and comprehensive investigation into this incident.
"We are still appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information that could assist the investigation to contact us immediately."
