Four people have been sentenced for their part in a large-scale drugs and firearms enterprise in South Manchester.
An operation was set up by GMP’s Xcalibre Task Force to tackle drug-dealing in South Manchester. On 2 April 2015, following a long-running investigation, officers executed a warrant at an address on Lindum Street in Rusholme.
During the raid, police seized a loaded handgun and ammunition in a cupboard under the stairs, along with cannabis. In the kitchen officers recovered heroin, crack cocaine, and cannabis with a street value of £12,000, as well as digital scales and empty snap bags.
A woman was arrested at the scene and three men were arrested at a later date.
Drugs with a total street value of £20,000 were seized from the group.
They were sentenced at Manchester Crown Court, Crown Square.
Ali Ishail of Dickenson road, Longsight pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply class A and B drugs and possession of criminal property. He was sentenced to four years in prison.
Abdurahman Aweys of Roberts Avenue, Rusholme pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply class A and B drugs. He was sentenced to four years and six months in prison.
Abdullah Hussein of Walmer Street, Rusholme pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply class B drugs. He was sentenced to one year and eight months in prison.
Nakita Greenwood of Heald Avenue, Rusholme pleaded guilty to allowing premises to be used for the supply of controlled drugs. She was sentenced to a community rehabilitation order for two years.
