Four people have been arrested after a man was shot in Rochdale.
The incident took place at around 2.50pm on Monday 21 January on Knowsley Street. Firearms officers and detectives attended and a 24-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries that are potentially life changing.
On Wednesday two men – aged 27, 28 – were arrested along with a 56-year-old woman. Police arrested another woman – aged 29 – on Thursday.
Detective Inspector Julie Maxwell, of GMP’s Rochdale division, said: “A man has been left with potentially life changing injuries and we are determined to establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident.
“Whilst we have four people in custody, our investigation is very much ongoing and I would urge anyone with any information to get in touch as soon as possible.
“We are continuing to treat this as an isolated incident and would encourage anyone with any concerns to either approach officers in the area or call police.”
