Former Bradford City manager Jim Jefferies is recovering after suffering a heart attack.
The 68-year-old Scotsman took unwell while playing golf on Monday morning and was taken to hospital.
Having managed primarily in Scotland throughout his career, Jefferies moved south of the border on 20 November 2000 to replace Chris Hutchings as manager of the Bantams, then playing in the Premier League.
He resigned as Bradford manager one year later, following relegation and a slow start to the 2001/02 season.
However, Jefferies is perhaps best known for his time with Scottish side Hearts of Midlothian, who released a club statement on Monday night, saying: "Chairman Jim Brown has spoken to Jim on the phone this evening and is pleased to say that he is in good spirits and looking forward to making a full recovery."
