The five men in Rotherham arrested in connection with Operation Stovewood, an independent investigation into non-familial child sexual exploitation and abuse in the town between 1997-2013 have now been released on bail.
The men were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to rape and were taken to a police station in South Yorkshire where they were interviewed by NCA officers.
All five men were arrested at separate addresses in Rotherham.
No further information about those arrested is being provided.
Operation Stovewood is ongoing and currently has 42 designated suspects. It has made contact with 134 victims and survivors so far. There are currently 17 distinct major investigations within the overall investigation, and so far 14 people have been arrested.
The nine people previously arrested by Operation Stovewood remain on bail while NCA investigations continue.
