The Low Moor railway station in Bradford was finally opened yesterday (02.04.2017) after a 10 year project in the making.
The first trains to arrive at the station in over 50 years were thanks to a £10 million investment scheme. Northern and Grand Central services now operate through the station, with hourly services between Halifax and Bradford.
Councillor Sarah Ferriby said: “It is a great day for Low Moor, the station and for Bradford South. It has been a long time coming and has taken ward councillors over ten years of hard work and conversations and pushing against locked doors. It is a great feeling now. It is absolutely fantastic for residents and businesses and for visitors.”
