The inaugural Bradford Curry Awards was served up last night (17 April).
Around 300 guests attended the evening to see winners collect trophies in several categories including Best Restaurant, Best Vegetarian Offer and Best Takeaway.
Special guest Mohammad Alqadi also made an appearance. The Palestinian refugee – currently living in France as a chef – shot to fame after being banned from entering the United States to take part in the Chicago marathon because of the so-called ‘travel ban’ on majority Muslim countries.
