It was a busy Sunday for firefighters in West Yorkshire with two major blazes.
About 50 firefighters have been dealing with a major blaze at a Morrisons supermarket depot on the Wakefield 41 Industrial Estate, close to Junction 41 of the M1.
At about 4.30pm yesterday, officers were notified by the fire service that they were attending an incident at the Morrison's bakery in Stephenson Way at the Wakefield 41 Industrial Estate.
Inspector Paul Maxfield, of Wakefield District Neighbourhood Patrol, said: "Due to the size of the fire, a large number of fire appliances were deployed which necessitated road closures around the scene. The fire is not being treated as suspicious and there were no serious injuries but a small number of members of staff were treated for smoke inhalation.
A further 50 firefighters have also been tackling a second blaze (pictured) at an industrial site Thorn Tree Farm, Bowl Shaw Lane in Northowram near Halifax.Ten fire engines attended the scene of a huge blaze which broke out in an industrial building housing 25 HGVs and potentially explosive gases LPG, Acetylene and Diesel.
