West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service (WYFRS) have signed the Trade Union Congress Dying to Work charter, along with its recognised representative bodies.
The 'Dying to Work' campaign presses for additional employment protection for terminally ill workers and grants those who are terminally ill the choice of how to spend the final stages of their life.
By signing the charter, WYFRS set out an agreed way in which employees will be supported, protected and guided throughout their employment following a terminal diagnosis.
