Police investigating the robbery of an elderly man in Bradford have released an image of a man they would like to identify.
The suspect called at the victim’s house in the Bolton area of the city at about 5.00pm on Wednesday 9 January and asked about removing branches from his garden.
He is said to have forced his way into the house, knocking the 88-year-old victim over as he did so and searched the property before leaving on foot with a handful of change.
He is believed to be between 55 and 60 years of age and around 5ft 6ins tall.
He spoke with a Yorkshire accent and wore a dark zip-up leathery donkey style jacket, dark trousers and heavy shoes/boots.
Anyone who can assist in identifying this man is asked to contact Bradford District CID on 101, quoting crime reference 13190015568, or use the live chat facility on the West Yorkshire Police website.
Information can also be reported anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
