Five members of a drugs gang have been sentenced at Bradford Crown Court including the 48 year old ringleader who was jailed for 15 years.
Muzhar Ahmed, of Henley Road, West Bowling was described in court as the “leading figure” in a drugs conspiracy which has led to the sentencing of 15 people in total and the recovery of 15 kilos of cocaine and heroin.
He pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply class A drugs and was sentenced to 14 years with an additional year for breaching a suspended sentence.
42 year old Jaspal Singh, of Lynnwood Road, Manchester, was found guilty of conspiracy to supply class A drugs and was jailed for eight years.
39 year old Naim Berisha, of London, who was already serving ten years for drugs offences, was given a 12 month consecutive sentence after he pleaded guilty to the same charge.
Both 32 year old Anthony Fretwell, of Doncaster and 45 year old Tracey Porter, also of Doncaster, pleaded guilty to a charge of conspiracy to supply class A drugs and were given sentences of four years and three years and four months respectively.
