A 28-year-old man is beginning a prison sentence after being jailed for six years and ten months.
Zain Ali appeared before Sheffield Crown Court to be sentenced after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, namely heroin and crack cocaine.
The court heard how Ali, of Burngreave Road, Sheffield, was arrested by officers earlier this year in possession of heroin and crack cocaine, which was promptly seized.
An investigation was launched into Ali’s drug dealing activity and in July this year, he was arrested again by officers from Sheffield’s tasking team. This time, he was carrying heroin, crack cocaine and cannabis.
Chief Inspector Ian Proffitt from Sheffield said: “This is another great result for Sheffield and highlights our commitment to getting those involved in drug, gang and gun crime off our streets.”
