A 20 year old man has been given a 12 month community order after he fled from Police before crashing his vehicle which was carrying numerous cans of petrol into a Police car and colliding with a lamppost.
Bradford Crown Court heard that Hassan Iqbal, of Arncliffe Terrace, Lidget Green who had been driving a vehicle with false registration plates then tried to flee on foot before violently resisting arrest on February 28th.
Iqbal pleaded guilty to dangerous driving and to driving without insurance and a licence and was sentenced to a 12 month community order, with 250 hours of unpaid work and a ten day rehabilitation activity requirement with the probation service.
Iqbal was also banned from driving for two years.
