Health and Social Care students at Bradford College have been helping adults with learning disabilities raise awareness of disability hate crime.
The students joined forces with members of the Why Don’t We charity to create games, videos and presentations that will be used by schools and organisations to highlight the problem of abuse of disabled people and to encourage reporting.
Members of Why Don’t We, a small charity that facilitates participant-led groups of adults with learning disabilities to have their voices heard, collaborated with students over an eight-week period with many sharing their personal experiences of abuse.
