Police have released a CCTV image after a thief targeted women at cash-machines in Droylsden
Shortly after 11.35am on Tuesday 4 October 2016, a woman used the cash-machine outside Lloyds TSB Bank on Queens Walk and, after leaving, a man approached her waving a £10 note and asking her for change. He put the note on her open purse and then left. Later that day the woman noticed that her bank card was missing.
Between 10am and 10.30am on Saturday 8 October 2016, a man watched a woman at a cash-machine on Manchester Road in Droylsden and then followed her whilst she shopped. He then approached her and told her she had dropped £10 and, as he handed it over, he removed her purse from her bag, placed the note on her purse and managed to remove her bank card. He then used her card to withdraw money from the cash-machine, having watched her enter her pin earlier.
Police believe the same man is responsible for both incidents and is described as about 5ft 8in tall, of medium build, with short dark hair.
